If we were to marry, just how would it be
Would it be like we are, or something new to me
Would the same woman I have now be the same woman then
Or should I expect a different style, a whole other trend

If we were to marry would you remain that woman I fell in love with
Or would I have to deal with a woman I never met
If we were to marry and all remain the same
You being you, me being me, building on one name
Things being good just as they are now
The two of us being married would be great and how

I feel if we were to marry in the love that we share
We would be successful whether we’re here or there
Here, in the state of mind where we are today
There, meaning later bringing joy and full of play
Play is not a bad thing, not a bad thing at all
It will keep us young, never wanting to fall

If we were to marry, really where would we be
And if we do, I hope its pure joy for both you and me
